The City of Mebane lies in the corridor between Raleigh and Greensboro on Interstate 40/85, and between Hillsborough and Burlington on NC Highway 70. The Mebane Historical Museum is located downtown, near unique shops and restaurants, as well as historic businesses and buildings. Admission is free.

From Raleigh on Interstate 40/85:   Take Exit #154 (Mebane Oaks Road) and turn right. Go north on Mebane Oaks Road for .5 miles. Turn right on NC 119/S. Fifth St. and continue for 1.2 miles to the yellow flashing light at W. Jackson St. Turn left and proceed west for 2 and 1/2 blocks. Parking is just behind the tennis courts on the south side of Jackson St. The Museum entrance is on the far right side of the building.

From Greensboro on 40/85:   Take Exit #154 (Mebane Oaks Road) and turn left. Directions are the same as above from this point.
